In Indonesia Tony is struggling to be part of the tribe. The tribe want to have Tony on a hunt to prove his manhood. Tony knows that he has good teachers. They find some tracks of pigs that were there in the morning. They hear some noise in the jungle, but the Mentawai men pretend to hunt for a monkey and Tony soon realizes that they were having a lend of him. to those more accustomed to a city existence, the jungles of mentawai are a far cry from Sydney. The girls have to feed the chickens and the pigs every day - it is really noisy. Samantha Povey is scared of chickens and thinks they will peck her eyes out! Her mum was brought up with chickens so she had no problems. They just get used to it. The sisters do not do things together at home but here they have to hang out all the time.

In Namibia the women get ash from the fire and put it under their arms and private areas to get rid of the smells. All the things that they do are very hard and we have everything really easy. Vicki and Ashley find that they have a love of shoes with the african ladies. The girls laugh a lot especially when the men are not around.

The children of the mentawai grow up very quickly but tony decides that it will be good to build a swing for the children. They get the timber for the swing and start putting the structure together but Tony is afraid of looking stupid. It was beginning to look bad but it eventually came together. Daughter Samantha has been asked to make a meal for the tribe because she was scared of the eels. She does no cooking at home and gives up really easily. One of the ladies try to cut off her nails but she thinks it was just weird. Now, who is weird? The one with the devil nails, i think. The tribe like the food, then Tony shows the kids how to use the swing. Tony wonders how introduces something from the west will affect the tribe in the Mentawai Islands.

Tony shows the mentawai tribe photos of their home and mom thinks the girls have let go of their petty jealousies. Tony thinks that even in the jungles people love their families. In Namibia sasha is proud of what she has achieved and shows the girls her boyfriend and friends and cats. She will appreciate her friends and boyfriend a lot more. For her brother and dad, they have formed a closer bond and robert tells his dad that he loves him.

In Zululand James is still smarting about the stick fighting so they play football with the men. They had lots of fun and really enjoy playing football. They do not get a lot of laughter because life is so hard in the Zulu tribe lands. The three families are approaching the end of their stay and they have to do one more task. They have to act and dress as zulus now, and the men have to go and catch food for the tribe. Mom has to dig for crabs despite her fear of them.

In Indonesia the poveys meet the tribal elders for their final challenge. Tony must travel to the jungle alone to get food, and the girls have to go to the river to bring back fish. Michael has to build something that will last a long time. Lynette has to collect the mud for the hut and Sasha has to make her mothers hair into braids. If they fail they will bring shame on their families. For Michael he is disappointed in the ladies and they are whinging and do not want to do it.
